Here are some to get us started. Additional themes will be added as more vignettes are published. Suggestions of new ones welcomed!
Encounters
God is providential. Chance encounters? Probably not. What did He remind you about Himself through these unexpected rendezvous? How did He use you, or the other person, to reveal a glimpse of who He is?
Generous Justice*
God is merciful and just. And He wants us to be passionately concerned for the weak and vulnerable. How did He use you or others to reveal glimpses of His love and mercy? How did God deepen your own grasp of His grace?
God as Artist
God reveals His majesty through nature. Even in this city of limestone and steel, His masterpiece surrounds us everywhere we look. What takes your breath away? What fills you with wonder and awe? What and how might He be calling you to steward and protect?
In His Likeness
God created us in His image. Humanity. Grimy or fancy clothes. A youthful or ailing body. Dark or light colored skin. Each one of us is made in the image of God. Look into someone’s eyes. Look into your own eyes. See us as we truly are: His beloved. How did God reveal a glimpse of someone’s true self to you? Your own?
Life Together
God loves community. And He uses us to encourage and sharpen one another. How is God present as you worship, pray, study, serve, and play together? How are His grace and faithfulness evident during your time of fellowship?
Seeking God’s Heart
God wants us to know Him. He wants us to be still and to listen. He wants us to grasp and to ask. How can we be men and women who seek after God’s own heart?
